Live and Digital Roulette: How the Formats Differ
Live roulette normally shows a physical wheel through a video stream, while digital roulette displays outcomes generated by software. Automated physical wheels and games with additional digital features also exist. Presentation, outcome generation and payout rules are separate parts of a game.
Live Dealer and Automated Physical Wheels
A live dealer format shows a person managing a physical table. An automated physical-wheel format can launch the ball mechanically without a dealer performing each spin. Both may use a video feed and a digital interface for accepted stakes and results.
Visible equipment does not by itself prove that procedures are correct, that every outcome is equally likely or that the surrounding account service is reliable. Those claims require appropriate testing and service-specific evidence.
Digital RNG Roulette
A random-number generator is part of the software used to produce digital outcomes. The displayed animation presents the result; watching its trajectory does not reveal the random-number process or a predictable physical wheel.
Digital games may have different timers, repeat controls and history displays. Features such as turbo mode or saved layouts are product-specific. Faster repetition does not make a staking system profitable and can increase turnover in a shorter period.
The Rules Still Determine Return
Two games with the same pocket count and payouts can share the same theoretical return despite different presentations. Conversely, similar-looking games may use different zero concessions, fees or multiplier rules. Neither βliveβ nor βRNGβ specifies the house edge.
The roulette variants guide separates pocket counts and special settlements. The probability guide explains why a displayed win frequency is different from monetary return.
Connection and Interface Evidence
A stream can lag behind the accepted-bet timer. A dropped connection does not necessarily cancel a wager already recorded. Product rules should distinguish acceptance, settlement and interrupted-round handling.
Video resolution, bandwidth use and phone compatibility vary. A 5G connection is not a guarantee of uninterrupted playback. An interface that looks private can still store account activity; lack of table chat does not establish anonymity.
Testing and Canadian Targeting
A claim that a game is tested needs the tested version, scope, organization and date. Encryption protects particular data transfers; it does not establish correct payouts or fair outcome generation. A regulatory logo is also different from evidence covering every product or every province.
Canadian-facing language, CAD displays and French interfaces are separate from provincial availability. WinnerOnline explains these distinctions and does not host roulette or certify every service mentioned.
