If either the Player or Banker is dealt a total of 8 or 9 in their first two cards, the round is over.<sup><\/sup> This is a hard rule in baccarat: a Natural cancels all further drawing rules. If no Natural is present, the game moves to the Player&#8217;s turn, and then finally to the Banker&#8217;s turn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When the Banker Rules are Simple<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"p-rc_5890fe6bcd187acc-185\">The Banker\u2019s drawing rules are only &#8220;simple&#8221; when the Player hand <strong>Stands<\/strong>. A Player stands when their first two cards total a 6 or 7. In this scenario, the Banker follows the exact same logic as the Player:<sup><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Banker totals 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5:<\/strong> The Banker must <strong>Draw<\/strong> a third card.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Banker totals 6 or 7:<\/strong> The Banker must <strong>Stand<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"p-rc_5890fe6bcd187acc-186\">However, the game becomes more intricate when the Player hand is forced to draw a third card (which occurs whenever the Player&#8217;s initial total is 0\u20135). The most famous rule is the <strong>Banker 6<\/strong>: if the Banker has a 6, they only draw if the Player\u2019s third card is a 6 or 7.<sup><\/sup> This is because those are the only two cards likely to turn a mediocre Player hand into a winning 8 or 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"p-rc_5890fe6bcd187acc-188\">Statistically, excluding ties, the Banker hand wins approximately <strong>50.68%<\/strong> of the time.<sup><\/sup> This is why a 5% commission is charged on winning Banker bets in traditional games\u2014without it, the player would have a permanent advantage over the house.
